ISO public meetings on racism, refugees and abortion rights

Many ISO branches have been involved in initiating or building protests against police brutality or in defense of refugees in the wake of the Paris attacks. For example, New York City had a comrade call in from Paris for a meeting in November, Portland organized a large forum in December, Chicago comrades helped initiate the LaQuan McDonald protests, Bay Comrades are hosting a “war, racism and ecology” meeting in December, etc. A number of branches have also held discussions of the Planned Parenthood attacks and the need to defend abortion rights.

Challenging war and racism after Paris

THE CRIMINAL slaughter of innocent people in Paris by gunmen and suicide bombers acting for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is being seized upon by the forces of militarism, empire and the anti-immigrant right.
