The July issue of Socialist Worker is out now and available from ISO branches around the country.

The front cover headline is “Fight the right. build the left,” the theme of the Socialism 2017 conference. Articles include an editorial on “A new left is being built today” and features on “What strategies will stop the far right?” and “How Portland stood united against hate."

Featured on the back page is the case of political prisoner Claudia Rueda, freed from detention by ICE in Los Angeles, as well as an article about protests calling for justice for Minnesota police murder victim Philando Castile.

Articles inside include special coverage of the British elections and the Grenfell Tower fire, with interviews with rs21’s Neil Davidson and Rob Owens. Also inside are articles on the People’s Summit in Chicago, Trump’s pullout on the Paris Climate Summit, an interview with Dan Georgakas on the 50th anniversary of Detroit's Great Rebellion and the latest installment of SW’s series on the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution.
